Tucker & Dale Vs Evil

It’s odd that Tucker & Dale Vs Evil never really secured itself the broader theatrical exposure it deserves, because it’s a really smart film. Granted, it’s bereft of outright movie stars, but the pairing of Tudyk and Labine proves inspired, and Craig is wise enough to keep his running time nice and tight.
I have to agree with the amazon review-excerpt.

I...LOVED this movie :) I would argue it's up-to-par with the Norwegian cult-film export "Dead Snow". Not quite the same genre, but, both films deliver fantastic gore and bloodshed without forcing you to immideately realize the (sometimes quite surprising) humorous outcome.

Man må jo le litt... XD

Fant dette innlegget i forumet på itavisen.no:
Bing sliter....
MS feiler stort på leveransen til London børs...
Zune floppet...
Mobilsatsing i krise...

All your O are belong to us

Hehe, seems Google's "UFO logo" was intended to be a 20th anniversary homage to the 80s game "Zero Wing".

And on Google's Twitter, they printed a series of point-separated numerals, corresponding to letters in the alphabet spelling the line "All your O are belong to us", a spin on the Zero Wing character "Cats", saying: "How are you gentlemen. All your base are belong to us."

WHERE IS THE "ANY" BUTTON!?

...the most common problem with PCs today is between the monitor and the keyboard, aka Joe User.

Joe, you see, is dumb. You'd think that in the 21st century with no one under the age of 40 able to remember when there were no PCs and no one under the age of 30 who can recall when there was no Web, that we'd be over basic computer illiteracy. You'd be wrong.

While Windows is insecure by design, you can stop most of its security problems just by patching it on a regular basis and using an anti-viral program. So simple even a chimp could do it right? Well maybe a chimp could, but not Joe User.

[Joe User => not a geek/nerd.]

DEC terminals

I was just sitting, surfing and playing around. Reading about computer equipment from the 70's and 80's. When I suddenly came across this DEC terminal, that has _the_ most unusual model name I have ever heard/seen... ;D

Ladies and gentlemen! The 1990 "DEC VT420" computer terminal! ;P

BSOD x 10

Seriously, someone should have learned by now that you can only trust Microsoft products to a certain degree when it comes to complex production environments. The computer running the lightshow in the picture above for the opening of the Beijing Olympics 2008? Well, it didn't perform quite as it should.., and then displaying a gigantic BSOD (Blue screen of death), when it wasn't even running Vista! IT WAS RUNNING XP!

Computer manufacturer Lenovo was responsible for the Olympic computers, and insisted they run Windows XP instead of Vista, which they considered to be untrustable and unstable. Yeah, like XP was the better choice, huh?
